Music Intervention

In a healthcare context, both the active and passive playing of music for patients to achieve specific physical and mental health goals, such as improved cognitive functioning, motor skills, emotional development, social skills, and quality of living. Many studies have shown that music is an effective tool for improving heart rate, reducing anxiety, stimulating the brain, and improving learning.(see also Music Therapy)
