Music Usage Guidelines

A sub-section of a company’s broader Audio Branding Guidelines that provides clear direction on how to use music in a brand-appropriate—and legal—manner to further a company’s marketing-branding goals and enhance its brand experience. For a companies that have a Brand Music Library, Music-Usage Guidelines typically focus on the proper use of the music in that library; for companies without a Brand-Music Library, the guidelines will often cover additional topics like the sourcing and selection of brand-appropriate music (referencing the company’s Audio Identity), as well as the proper licensing of songs for particular uses.
