A user interface (UI) that is either enhanced by or totally comprised of sound. An automated teller machine UI, for example, while primarily visual, may incorporate feedback sounds to alert users to certain functions and transaction events. Digital Assistants, on the other hand, such as Amazon’s Echo, are voice-activated and exclusively sound-based in terms of user interaction. (see also Product Sonification)
