Soundscape

A purely acoustic representation of a three-dimensional space; an aural “snapshot” of a particular place, real or imagined, comprised of all the sounds heard in that space, mixed and balanced to create a sense of three-dimensionality and a unique ambience. Nature Soundscapes, which combine field recordings of birdsong, moving water, and the movement of air, are particularly useful in healthcare settings, where they can help to create a healing environment that’s comforting to medical patients, their families, and the medical professionals who care for them.
